A great idea and very powerful, especially looking over at Narrow Quay, the scene of the iconic picture and Bristol links to slave trade; content interesting and enlightening

Very interesting to hear extracts from original archival materials. Opened windows to different aspects of the trade and all those involved. Very thought-provoking

It’s an awesome experience – thank you so much! I came down specifically, tho’ I don’t really have time – to try it out. Well worth it!

I really liked it, thank you. I liked the different stories and the way the sounds drifted into each other in the way they would if you were walking past conversations. Really interesting – I learnt a lot. Very easy for me to download and use the app. Thank you!

Needed the help of a younger person to resolve a ‘tech’ issue, but it was very useful and easy to use then

Very important – good to raise awareness. Not what I expected, but in a good way. I thought it was about the statue’s journey into the water … good to replicate the journey with important background information

Good to slow down and take time to think about the themes. Lots of food for thought.

Dense, layered, evocative; a sense of multiple voices and deep research, quotations from many sources, dramatised slave trade. Excellent and professional work!

Great idea! Needed a bit of time to adjust to it; loved hearing the very clear narrators’ voices, too. Music good and effective

Explored areas that most people don’t know about, eg. the mortality statistics for the crews on the slave ships

This is what we need to do! To fill in the holes in our history with just such re-imaginations: if the history doesn’t exist, why, recreate it ourselves! So powerful – too powerful for me, I’ll have to try it out on my own again. I just can’t stop crying…
